Name Change/Gender Marker

We assist eligible individuals with name changes and gender marker changes. Getting a name change or gender marker change does not automatically change your name and gender marker with agencies like the DMV and Social Security Administration. For more information, see the Correcting Your Name & Gender Marker Brochure. If you want to apply for help, we have walk-in hours Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. You will need to complete an intake packet and meet with our intake staff. You will need to bring proof of income, a current ID, and a copy of your birth certificate (if available). For more information about name changes, visit here.
