Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s Consumer Rights Project helps people who cannot afford an attorney fight back against economic predators. The Guardianship Advocacy Program, under the Consumer Rights Project, provides direct representation to seniors and adults facing or under a guardianship. The Program is on the forefront of a changing area of law and is helping to shape and enforce meaningful protections for those otherwise unable to protect themselves.
The Guardianship Advocacy Program is seeking law clerks with a passion for justice and fairness and who are committed to championing the rights of one of the most vulnerable populations in our community. The law clerk will get hands-on experience working closely with experienced attorneys while preparing pleadings and accompanying the attorneys on client interviews and court appearances. The ideal law clerk candidate has a positive attitude, is energetic, compassionate, and enjoys working with a team of dedicated and caring individuals.
The time commitment is a minimum of 15 hours per week under public interest grants if applicable, or at the pay rate of $18.00 per hour.
