Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada's Pro Bono Project offers a variety of Ask-A-Lawyer programs for unrepresented individuals to receive free 15-minute consultations with volunteer attorneys. National Law Day Ask-A-Lawyer - May 1, 2015
This program is for individuals seeking legal advice on a civil law matter. Attorneys will provide free 15-30 minute consultations in all our practice areas including: debt collection, auto repairs, payday loans, foreclosure, bankruptcy, social security, immigration, senior estate planning, divorce, custody, guardianship, child support, children's rights and much more. Family Law Ask-A-Lawyer
This program is for pro se litigants who have specific questions about their family law case. If you have already registered for the Family Law Ask-A-Lawyer program and have a number and time for your appointment, you may download the intake form and take it with you to the program.
This program is for unrepresented tenants seeking legal adivce on their rights. This program is held weekly at the Regional Justice Center at 200 Lewis Ave., Downtown, Las Vegas.
For homeowners who have more detailed questions about foreclosure related issues and who want to talk to an attorney and obtain legal advice about your case. Sign up at the Civil Law Self-Help Center at the Regional Justice Center at 200 Lewis Ave., Downtown, Las Vegas.
Small Claims Ask-A-Lawyer
This program is for unrepresented individuals seeking legal advice with a small claims matter. This program is held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at the Regional Justice Center at 200 Lewis Ave., Downtown, Las Vegas.
Federal Court Ask-A-Lawyer
For unrepresented individuals with open cases in Federal Court or for those contemplating filing in Federal Court. This program is offered quarterly and advance registration is required. The next event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Registration will be available after April 1, 2015 by visiting www.lacsn.org/federal. This program DOES NOT serve individuals seeking assistance with foreclosure, bankruptcy, family law, landlord/tenant or consumer matters in state court.
This program is for Veterans in our community seeking legal advice in various areas of law. Attorneys will provide free 15-minute consultations. This program is held at the VA Community Resource and Referral Center.
Child Support Ask-A-Lawyer
This program is offered by the District Attorney's Office and is intended for individuals with questions about child support and paternity. The class is held in a group setting on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month. View the flyer for registration information and additional details.
