The efforts of local attorneys were honored Dec. 11 at the 15th annual Pro Bono awards luncheon, held at the Rio. Lied Awards are given in recognition to the Lied Foundation, which gave Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada a Challenge Grant in 2000 to pay off its building mortgage. The grant was based on how many pro bono hours lawyers donated on a yearly basis.

The Lied Award for Most Hours for Law Firm was awarded to Lewis Roca Rothgerber LLP;

The Lied Award for Most Cases for Law Firm went to Kunin & Carman;

The Lied Award for Most Hours for Attorney went to Airene Williamson, the founding shareholder of Williamson Law Office PLLC;

The Lied Award for Most Cases for Attorney was awarded to Ishi Kunin of Kunin & Carman.

The Pro Bono Attorney of the Year award went to Ogonna Brown, a bankruptcy shareholder at Holley Driggs Walch Fine Wray Puzey & Thompson.

The Law Firm of the Year award went to Lewis Roca Rothgerber LLP.

The William S. Boyd Award of Excellence went to Christina Hixson, Trustee and the Lied Foundation Trust.
