Nearly all of us will be tenants at some point, but almost none of us know even basic information about a tenant’s rights and the laws that protect us as renters. This class walks through the life of a tenancy from beginning to end and gives you the tools you need to protect yourself. It covers:
- Legal issues you might face when looking for a new apartment, including signing a lease and paying a security deposit;
- Legal problems that can arise after you move in, like getting repairs made or needing to terminate the lease early;
