For Individuals

Everyone has certain basic rights, regardless of their legal status. You have the right to remain silent and not discuss your immigration or citizenship status with law enforcement. You do not have to allow officers to search you or enter your home without a judicial warrant. Keep a red card on you at all times and as well as a copy of our Immigrants, Know Your Rights flyer.

For Employers

Ensure your staff know what to do if U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shows up at your workplace to conduct an I-9 audit or a raid. Create a written policy for front office staff to consult. Most importantly, train staff that they do not have to talk to ICE agents, and ICE must have a judicial warrant to enter private areas of your workplace.
