iStock 484912264 superLegal Aid Center of Southern Nevada provides free legal services to low income families and individuals in need of assistance. We offer legal classes, counsel & advice and direct representation with priority given to victims of domestic violence. A divorce is a legal action that terminates a marriage. In a divorce case, the court can make orders regarding custody, visitation, support, distribution of property and debt and can restore a maiden name. To apply for legal representation for a divorce case, you must first attend the free Divorce Class click HERE. In the class you will receive an intake packet and information how to apply.  Bring your intake packet to our office during walk in hours, Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am- 4:00 pm to meet with an intake advocate.  You can also visit the Family Law Self-Help Center located inside the family court or online HERE for court information and forms.  Staff at the Family Law Self Help Center cannot provide legal advice.

Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, through the Pro  Bono Project, provides free consultations with attorneys to answer your family law questions.  To learn more about the program, Click here for details.

In conjunction with the Family Court Self-Help Center and Nevada Legal Services, Legal Aid Center provides self-help assistance to unrepresented parties in the Family Court. This program provides individuals a 15 minute free consultation with an attorney. The program is held every Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Self-Help Center in the back of the Family Court.
