#GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday simpler

Legal Aid Center is so grateful to all our supporters and donors who helped us provide critical assistance to over 200,000 individuals last year, proving that even the smallest contributions can create meaningful change in our community. We ask you to please join us Tuesday, December 2, 2025, for the global #GivingTuesday movement by donating funds, sharing your skills, or simply raising your voice to help expand access to justice throughout Southern Nevada. Together, we can make "justice for all" a reality. You can click here to learn more about our mission and impact.

DONATE

Anyone can have an impact on #GivingTuesday! We ask you to please consider pledging your time, voice, or dollars to support righting wrongs and changing lives.

Foster the Future

We're delighted to partner with Anthem Injury Lawyers for the third annual Foster the Future initiative, which aims to collect holiday gifts and essential items for the over 3,000 children represented by our Children's Attorneys Project. Physical donations can be dropped off at the Anthem Injury Law Office (3145 St. Rose Pkwy., Suite #220, Henderson, NV 89052), and contributions to the curated Amazon wish list are very appreciated.

Advocacy & Justice Complex

The number of community members we have helped has nearly quadrupled, and our current facilities are not equipped to handle the increasing volume of cases. In response to this urgent need, we've embarked on building the Advocacy & Justice Complex—a dedicated space where survivors of violent crime in Nevada can find access to justice, healing, and support. The complex will feature three levels and 40,000 square feet to house the Resiliency & Justice Center (previously known as the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center), our Family Justice Project, and our Guardianship Advocacy Project. You can go to www.lacsn.org/advocacyandjustice to discover how to support us in transforming crime victim services in Nevada.

Supervised Practice Program

To become licensed as an attorney in Nevada, an applicant will need to complete the supervised practice component of the state bar exam by representing a real-world client under the supervision of an approved program or attorney. Although the new bar exam won't be offered until January 2027, you can complete the supervised practice component starting January 2026 through our new Pathways to Practice Program. To find details for both applicants and supervising attorneys, visit www.lacsn.org/supervisedpractice

Donations

General donations to go directly to Legal Aid Center can be made through www.lacsn.org/donate. A statewide legal needs study found that for every $1 spent, there was a $7 return from legal aid organizations. The economic boost comes through cost savings for law enforcement, healthcare, and government, along with direct-dollar income that supports veterans, children, and people with disabilities. There's also increased revenue for businesses from the spending of those dollars by legal aid clients in the community. That revenue then supports 376 jobs for working Nevadans.

Pro Bono Project

We always have numerous family law, consumer rights, and foster care cases in need of pro bono volunteers. Experienced attorneys are also needed for our Ask-A-Lawyer events, now held over the phone. If you're interested in helping, please reach out to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or visit www.lacsn.org/cases to find a vulnerable member of our community who needs your time and skills.

Volunteer Education Advocate Program

For those with little to no legal experience, our Volunteer Education Advocate Program recruits, trains, and provides support for volunteers who are at least 18 years of age. Volunteers advocate for children in foster care who have disabilities, ensuring that their schools are meeting their needs to thrive in the classroom. To learn more, you can go to  www.lacsn.org/edadvocate.

Volunteer Interpreter Program

Our Volunteer Interpreter Program pairs pro bono attorneys with volunteer interpreters who help provide legal services to low-income individuals and families facing critical legal problems that affect their basic needs. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, please visit www.lacsn.org/interpret to learn more or sign up.

Sunny Day Fund

This fund covers expenses for everyday activities and supplies so that a child in foster care can have a semblance of normalcy and stability in their life. The Sunny Day Fund pays for small but critical requests that are not paid for by the foster family or foster care system. HELP of Southern Nevada is the administrator of the funds, which means the funds are sent to HELP and not to Legal Aid Center. Since the fund was established in 2008, we have gifted happiness and smiles to hundreds of youth in foster care thanks to this program. Visit www.lacsn.org/sunnydayfund for details.

Social Media

#GivingTuesday isn't just about giving money. Anyone can show their support just by boosting our messages with a like, comment, or share on social media! If you aren't already, please be sure to follow our profiles on Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, BlueskyLinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok. You can also follow the Resiliency & Justice Center's profiles on Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, Bluesky, and YouTube.

Forever Strong License Plates

Nevada drivers can support Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada's Resiliency & Justice Center (previously known as the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center) when they purchase Forever Strong license plates through the Nevada DMV. Proceeds go to the center's emergency financial assistance program that provides help to survivors of the October 1, 2017, mass shooting in Las Vegas. Click here to apply for a plate or donate directly to the Resiliency & Justice Center by selecting "Resiliency & Justice Center Operations" from the dropdown menu at www.lacsn.org/donate.
