Veterans & Active Military Ask-A-Lawyer

What: The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and the Attorney General’s Office of Military Legal Assistance (OMLA) are teaming up to offer 15-30 minute consultations in the areas of family law, bankruptcy, landlord-tenant, probate, estate planning, criminal record sealing, small claims, immigration, consumer law, and veteran’s benefits. We currently need attorneys in all areas. Volunteers have resource materials at their disposal.
When: May 23, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Small Business Ask-A-Lawyer Program

What: Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, local volunteer attorneys and law firms, SCORE, and Clark County have come together for the Small Business Seminars and Ask-A-Lawyer. Each seminar will include a presentation on a specific topic related to small business creation and operation, then participants will have an opportunity to do a 15-minute consultation with a pro bono attorney.

Homeless Assistance Project 

What: In conjunction with Care Complex, volunteer attorneys are needed to provide brief consultations to homeless individuals accessing services at various sites in the community. The type of advice given varies greatly and can involve matters such as record sealing, lost IDs, child support issues, evictions and much more.
